Club Statement
Carrick Swan GAA Club would like to record their sincere thanks to Tony Shelly for his commitment, dedication and professionalism in his capacity as coach over the past number of years.
Tony’s knowledge of hurling and coaching in particular is top class, his major achievements while with the club were winning the South senior hurling title las July as Swan defeated Mullinahone in a never to be forgotten divisional final.
The brand of hurling played was brilliant to see with some real standout performances not least this year’s south semi-final against St. Mary’s and the relegation final against Kiladangan when our place in next year’s Seamus O’Riain competition was secured.
Tony will always be very welcome in the club and we hope that sometime in the future he might come back to us, for now it is we sadness but deep appreciation we wish Tony all the very best in his future endeavours.
