Carrick Swan Notes Monday September 9th
37 people were agonisingly close to winning our Lotto jackpot last week. They matched 3 and won €20 each.
This week, our Lotto jackpot is a massive €14,750. The draw takes place on Thursday night, each week, and it costs just €2 to enter. You can play online at https://carrickswan.com/lotto. Online entries for Thursday’s draw close at 11.50pm on Wednesday.
The numbers drawn last week were 07 – 11 – 21 -23.
Adult Hurling, Football, & Camogie
Our Junior ‘B’ camogie ladies had a great win over Silvermines in Páirc na nEalaí on Sunday last. Well done, ladies. Next weekend, our Junior ‘B’ camogie ladies welcome Ballingarry to Páirc na nEalaí. Check out Facebook for the official fixture.
Our Premier Intermediate’s will play their County Quarter Final next weekend. The draw is expected to take place on Monday night (Sept 9th).
Juvenile Scene
Our u9’s travelled to Semple Stadium in Thurles on Saturday for a hurling blitz. It may have been the first time this group of players got to step onto the hollowed turf of Tom Semple’s field but looking at the magnificent skills on show, I think it’s fair to say that they’ll be back there again one day.
On Sunday next, our u15 boys take on St. Mary’s in their South Semi Final. Check out Facebook later in the week for the venue and throw-in time.
Next Monday, we play St. Mary’s once again. This time, it’s our u17’s who take on the Clonmel side in their Shield Semi-Final.
Our u13’s beat Skeheenarinky in Round 1 of their Winter Hurling League on Saturday on The Green. This coming Friday, we play Ballybacon Grange in Goatenbridge at 6.30pm. And then, the following Tuesday (Sept 17th), we take on Ballingarry in Páirc na nEalaí with the game throwing in at 6pm. Best of luck.
Other News
On Wednesday, September 18th Páirc na nEalaí proudly hosts the annual Noel Russell Memorial Cup. The game takes place in memory of the late Noel Russell. As well as the tremendous work Noel did in our own club over the years, and his magnificent contribution to Tipperary GAA, and South Tipperary GAA, Noel was also a great friend and coach to both schools for many many years and it’s fitting that these two teams compete in his honour, on an annual basis.
