Another day. Another final qualified for…You really could get used to this, couldn’t you? Up The Birds!

Our Senior hurlers beat Mullinahone on Sunday last in the South Semi-Final after extra-time in an enthralling encounter in Clonmel Sportsfield. We’ll play the winners of Killenaule and St. Mary’s in the 2020 South Senior Hurling Final. Well done lads.

Our Junior Camogie ladies qualified for our first ever adult camogie County Final when we  beat  Moyle Rovers, on Saturday, on a scoreline of 6-06 to 2-03 to qualify us for the County Junior B Camogie League Final. Well done, ladies.

Our Junior A hurlers qualified for our first South Junior A Final since 1995 on Saturday, also, when we beat Mullinahone on a scoreline of 4-12 to 3-07. We take on local rivals Grangemockler/Ballyneale in the final with the game expected to take place next weekend.

Our Minor B Footballers take on St Patrick’s on Tuesday evening in Kilsheelan at 6pm in our final group game. We currently sit top of the group on 6 points with Knockmealdown and St. Patrick’s joint-second on 3 points each.

Our u16 B footballers play their final group game on Monday against Clonmel Og, in Clonmel with both teams already qualified for the quarter-finals. This is a re-fixture with the game originally due to take place on Saturday morning last. The game throws in at 6pm.

Our u14 footballers had a great 6-point win in their opening football game of the year against Killenaule on Thursday night. Well done boys.

Our u14s welcome Grangemockler/Ballyneale to Pairc na nEalaí next Sunday afternoon at 4-30pm for our next game.

Our u12 B game in Mullinahone was postponed last weekend. Next weekend, our u12’s have home and away games, both in Carrick. Our u12 B’s take on Killenaule on The Green at 10am on Sunday morning while at the same time, in Davin Park, our u12 D’s take on Killenaule in their first game of the day. At 12pm next Sunday, our u12 D’s take on Davins, also in Davin Park.

The club would like to wish Zoe Sullivan, who sustained a cruciate ligament injury in a recent camogie game against Portroe, a very speedy recovery. Zoe is due undergo surgery on her injury soon.

Outfield Sports will be stocking Swan gear in the coming weeks. All the new Swan stock will be included, and weekly payments are available.

The club would like to thank Mary Barrett for all her help organising Swan clothing and gear throughout the years. It’s greatly appreciated by everybody in the club. Mary would also like to pass on her thanks to Yvonne O’ Halloran, Bernie Torpey, and Natasha Kennedy who also helped out.

Last week, there was no winner in the Carrick Swan lotto. Last week’s jackpot was €2,000. The numbers were 10 – 18 – 24 – 27. Four match 3s wins €50 each. Next Week’s Jackpot is €2,250.
