Our Senior hurlers defeated Burgess on Sunday evening in The Ragg in Round 2 of the Seamus O’ Riain Cup. Swan came from 6 points down at the beginning of the 2nd half to win by 3 following an injury time goal.

This result keeps us in the hunt for a quarter final slot. Round 3 of the Seamus O’Riain Cup is due to take place on the weekend of 25th and 26th. We take on Kiladangan in that game where a win seals a quarter final place. Venue and time will be finalised in the coming week.

On Saturday evening, our Junior ‘A’ hurlers had a good win over Ballylooby in their 2nd game of the championship. Well done lads. We take on Ballingarry in our final group game with the winners topping the group. That fixture is yet to be finalised.

Our u13 D’s welcome St. Mary’s to Carrick on Monday evening (Sept 13). The game throws in on The Green at 7pm.

There’s a lot of games and activity for our younger players at the moment.

Last week, our u11’s attended the prestigious Frank Maher Cup in St. Mary’s where teams from all over Ireland competed. It was an outstanding day out for our boys, and we’d like to thank the host club for the invitation and their hospitality on the day.

At the weekend, our u9’s travelled to Clonmel to take on St. Mary’s in 3 super games of hurling where both teams showed lots of skill throughout, and the kids enjoyed themselves immensely.

Our u7’s play Ballyneale/Grangemockler this week while our youngest kids, our u6’s, are playing Portlaw on The Green on Wednesday evening and then the same age group travels to Kilsheelan on Friday evening for more games.
