It was a heart-breaking end to a great year for our Junior Camogie ladies at the weekend when they lost out to Gortnahoe by 2 points in their County League Final on Saturday last. Unlucky ladies. You can be very proud of your performances and achievements this year and we’re sure you’ll be back again next year, stronger than ever.

The club would like to thank our physio Aoife Conway for all her hard work with the girls throughout the year. She really did go above and beyond this year. We’d also like to thank Lee Lanigan, and Derek Hogan, who helped with preparations for the girls in recent weeks, also.

Throughout the year, our Junior Camogie Ladies were sponsored by William Barrett Building & Plastering Ltd., The Auld Rogue pub, Keevers Pub in Faugheen, and Tom Kennedy Electrical. The club would like to thank you all sincerely for your very kind and appreciated sponsorship of the girls.

Next weekend, our Junior A and Senior hurling teams play their respective South finals. Our Seniors take on Killenaule  on Saturday at 4pm in Clonmel Sportsfield while our Juniors take on Grangemockler/Ballyneale on Sunday at 2pm, also in Clonmel Sportsfield. Best of luck to both teams.

Our Minor B footballers had an impressive win over St Patrick’s last week. As we finished top of our group, we’ll take on Kilshelan/Kilcash, who finished 2nd in the other group, in the Semi-Final. There’s a couple of other group games to play before the semi-final fixtures are announced.

Our u16 B footballers shipped a heavy defeat to Clonmel Óg last week in their final group game. In the quarter-final, we drew Ballingarry. The fixture for that game is currently being finalised but is expected to take place late this coming week.

Our u14s ran out easy winners against Grangemockler/Ballyneale in Carrick last week. Well done boys. Our next game takes place this coming Sunday, in Cloneen at 4.30pm when we take on St. Patrick’s.

Our u12’s had some games postponed last week, and these have been re-fixed for this week. Our u12 B footballer’s play Killenaule on Monday night on The Green. Throw-in 6pm.

Our u12 D’s make the short-trip across town to Davin Park on Sunday to take on Clonmel Commercial’s and Carrick Davins with the first game against Commercials throwing in at 10am.

The club is trying to gather the remaining cards from the Swan Sweep Draw that was due to take place prior to lockdown in April. The cards do not need to be filled in, and can be returned to any committee member. Cards should be returned ASAP.

Our 12 Days of Christmas Draw is now live. If you’d like to sell some tickets this year, please contact Sean McDonnell or any committee member, or contact us through Facebook.

There’s €20,000 in prizes to give away again this year with a top prize of €10,000…and you get it just in time for Christmas.

Last week, there was no winner in the Carrick Swan lotto. Last week’s jackpot was €2,250. The numbers were 03 – 06 – 25 – 27. Three match 3s wins €70 each. Next Week’s Jackpot is €2,500.

The club would like to thank you sincerely for supporting our lotto. Your support helps our young players and also helps our field development project.  You can purchase your lotto tickets here: www.carrickswan.com/lotto.
