Our u21’s begin their South A Hurling Championship on Saturday next when we face St Mary’s in in Monroe at 2pm. Let’s get to Monroe to support our lads on Saturday.

If anyone would like to help out with our camogie teams for 2020, we would be very grateful. Please reach out to any committee member, mentor, or contact us through our Facebook page if you’re interested in getting involved.

Carrick Swan Club would like to wish a speedy recovery to u14 player Luke Power who undertook cruciate surgery last week. Luke has been a valued member of our underage teams for many years and sustained serious injury in our u14 championship final recently. We hope to see Luke back in action next year.

If you’ve passed Pairc na hEalaí over the past few days, you’ll have noticed that it looks more like Bondi Beach than Croke Park right now. Over 150 tonnes of sand was spread across both pitches last week. The rain over the winter will wash this down, and we’ll be left with an immaculate playing surface that’s ready for action in the new year.

Work on the clubhouse continues also. The painters began working last weekend. They expect to complete their work by mid-November. Then, it’s time for the flooring to commence.

Just 4 weeks remain before our 12 Days of Christmas fundraising draw begins. The first draw takes place on Tuesday December 3rd. With €20,000 in prizes it’s a draw not to be missed, and for only €50 you can give yourself a chance of being one of our lucky winners over the 12 days of the draw. Contact any committee member or ticket seller for tickets.

Well done to Sarah O’ Donnell who completed the Dublin Marathon last weekend.
