The club have some COVID-19 related announcements this week.

On the playing fields, our Adults and Juveniles have finished up for the year. We’ve also been told that Adult Championships won’t re-commence until February 2021, at the earliest.

Last week’s Swan lotto draw is our last draw until present COVID-19 restrictions are eased. We expect our next lotto draw to take place in early December. We’ll announce the exact date as soon as possible. The club would like to take this opportunity thank you all for your support of our club lotto each week and we look forward to our next draw where the jackpot will be €2,000. All online payments have been paused and your remaining draws will carry over upon resumption of our lotto draw.

Our 12 Days of Christmas Draw start date has moved slightly. It will now begin on Saturday December 12th with the bumper final €10,000 draw taking place on Wednesday December 23rd. There are three ways to buy tickets this year. The first is online through the carrickswan.com website. The second is, if required, you can also purchase a physical ticket through our Christmas Draw ticket promotors. Let them know, and they’ll call to you once restrictions have lifted in early December. The third way to buy a ticket is by contacting us through Facebook and we’ll get a physical ticket to you once restrictions have lifted in early December, also.

The club would like to wish Kevin Lanigan the very best of luck as he heads overseas with work this week. Kevin has been a colossus for our Senior hurling team over the past 17 seasons, since he made his Senior Championship bow in 2004. Kevin captained us to our last South Senior Hurling Championship in 2017.

On top of playing a pivotal role in helping us reach the 2020 South Senior Hurling Final, Kevin also served on the committee as Games Development Officer in the club this year. We look forward to seeing Kevin back in black and white in 2022.

The club would like to thank Michelle at New Street Barbers & Sean Barrett Plumbing and Heating for their generous contributions towards gear for our Junior ‘A’ Hurlers recently.
