Commiserations to our Senior hurlers who lost to Killenaule on Sunday last in Monroe. This loss brings our Senior year to a close and means that we drop down to Roinn 2 of the County Senior Hurling Championship for 2019 where we’ll compete for the Seamus O’ Riain Cup. Congratulations to Killenaule who deserved their victory on the day. The club would like to thank our Senior players and mentors for their hard work and commitment in 2018.

Our camogie year has come to a close, also. Our Junior girls lost out on a County Semi Final spot on score difference recently, while our Minor girls also exited their championship last weekend. We’d like to thank all the girls and their mentors for their efforts this year. To lose out on a County Semi Final spot, on score difference, in our first year in Junior hurling is heart-breaking but an outstanding achievement. 2018 has laid the foundations for future success.

Our u11s travel to Ballingarry next weekend for their Winter League game. The game takes place on Sunday at 11am.

Our u6s are finishing up for the winter on Wednesday next. Our u6s will travel to Ardmore Winter Wonderland in December for what is sure to be an outstanding day out.

The Paddy Boland Memorial tournament took place on The Green on Sunday. Congratulations to St Mary’s who won the u10s beating Dungarvan in the final while the u9s was won by Abbeyside who beat Swan in the final. A great day of hurling was had. Thanks to all the organisers, helpers on the day, and all the clubs who travelled to Carrick for the tournament.

If you’ve a couple of hours to spare each week and would like to volunteer with a team, or help with the administration side of the club, please reach out to us via Facebook or through any committee member. Volunteers are the life and soul of every GAA Club, and we’re no different. We need additional volunteers to help drive the club on in 2019, and beyond.
