The grass is growing nicely on the new field on Ballyrichard Road. It’s amazing that we’ve gone from an overgrown wasteland to luscious green grass in under 9 months, this year.

Although the field won’t be ready for action, for a little while yet, the playing surfaces are beginning to take shape, and everybody is getting giddy with excitement at the thoughts of playing there.

As the grass grows, so does the list of work that needs to still be carried out on the grounds. We’ve come a long way in a few short years, and we’ve a lot more still to do. Our primary fundraiser for the year begins in just over a week. You’ve still time to get your ticket for this year’s 12 Days of Christmas Draw.

As well as helping fund our new field development, you get the chance to win some of the €18,000 up for grabs this year. The first draw takes place on Tuesday, December 4th.

The top prize is a whopping €10,000. In total, there are 19 chances to win a prize during the 12 Days of Xmas Draws. 11x€500 draws, 2 x€1,000, 5x€100 draws & 1x€10,000 draw.  Tickets cost just €50 and can be purchased through any committee member or ticket seller. You can also buy online, on carrickswan.com. Best of luck to all entrants and thank you for your generous support.
