The Swan club would like to offer our condolences to the Walsh family, The Old Mill, New Street, on the passing of Tommy Walsh this week.

The Old Mill was the scene over the years of great celebration, those of us old enough to remember the U21 county final win in 1972 which was the first of many such joyous occasions.

The other side of the spectrum saw sadness, despair and anguish as we bid the final farewell to friends and relations over the years.

No matter the occasion Tommy Walsh was a constant, he welcomed all and was respected by all. Even if you hadn’t been in the Old Mill for a while Tommy’s welcome was always genuine and his hospitality sincere.

We offer our deepest sympathy to his wife Maudie, his son Aidan, daughters Elaine and Claire, his grandchildren, daughter in-law Martina, son in-law Brian and his brother John along with all the extended family and friends.
