What could be better than ending what felt like the first weekend of proper summer weather than reading about upcoming competitive fixtures in the coming fortnight. It has been a long 8 months since club GAA seized last year but this week, we’ve received some competitive fixtures that are sure to excite all our players, mentors, and supporters.

Our Senior hurlers have been drawn with Moycarkey Borris, Eire Óg Annacarthy, Holycross Ballycahil and Mullinahone in Group 2B of the County Senior Hurling League. The league commences on the weekend of June 13th.

In more fixture news, our Junior ‘A’ hurlers 2020 South Junior ‘A’ final has been pencilled in for the weekend on June 19th. We take on local rivals Grangemockler/Ballyneale in what’s sure to be a close encounter.

Our Minor (u17s) take on Eire Óg Annacarthy when games resume on Monday next at Pairc na nEalai in the inaugural South/West u17 B Football League. That game throws in at 7-45pm.

On Tuesday, June 8th, our u13s begin their championship season when they travel to Fethard to take on the home club in u13 B & D football.

Our u15s follow that up on Thursday June 10th when they take on Cahir, in Cahir with the game throwing in at 7pm.

The club sends congratulations to Owen Dunne-Harrigan on his inclusion in the 2021 Tipperary Minor hurling panel. Well done Owen. We wish you, and all your teammates in blue and gold this year the very best of luck in the upcoming Munster Championship games. Tipperary take on Kerry in the Munster Quarter Final on July 14th in the Gaelic Grounds. The winners take on Waterford on July 27th in Páirc Uí Rinn in Cork.

The club would like to stress that it’s vitally important that all players have paid their 2021 membership in order to be covered by GAA insurance.

The club would also like to advise players that they need to dispose of their water bottles after training in the bins provided, and not leave them behind the goals for others to pick up.

Last week’s Carrick Swan lotto numbers were 11 – 23 – 25 – 26. The jackpot was €4,250 and there was no winner. One match 3 wins €200. Well done Padraic O’ Reilly. Next Week’s Jackpot is €4,500. The club would like to thank you sincerely for supporting our lotto. Your support helps our young players and also helps our field development project.
