Carrick Swan Notes Monday May 13th

Adult Hurling & Camogie

Well done to our Premier Intermediate hurlers who qualified for the County League Semi-Final on Sunday following a 5 point victory over Éire Óg Annacarty/Donohill in Páirc na nEalaí. The win meant that we finished 2nd in our group and will now play Clonakenny of Mid Tipperary in the Semi-Final, with the fixture yet to be confirmed but likely to be near the end of the month.

Our 2023 Junior B South League & Championship winning team along with our 2023 u21 ‘A’ South Championship winning team will receive their medals on Saturday next, May 18th, at 9pm in The Auld Rogue and all are welcome to attend. There will be music on the night so come on down and show your appreciation for our victorious adult teams from 2023.

We have a football fixture for our Junior A’s. In our opening round of the Junior ‘A’ football championship, we will take on Ballingarry, on Friday May 31st in Cloneen.

Juvenile Scene

Our u15’s had a good win against Killenaule in Páirc na nEalaí on Thursday last in the South Quarter Final. We take on Cahir in the Semi-Final (Venue TBD) on Wednesday evening. Best of luck, lads.

On Friday evening, in the Páirc na nEalaí sunshine, our u11’s hosted a hurling blitz where we played three very competitive games against Fethard, Fr. Sheehy’s and Carrick Davins. A great evening was had by all, with over 70 kids all taking to the field, alll displaying great skills & sportsmanship. We’d like to thank Fethard, Fr. Sheehy’s & Davins for coming to Páirc na nEalaí on the night.

Black & White in Blue & Gold

Last week was a good week for Tipperary hurling & camogie, and for the Carrick Swan contingent lining out in Blue & Gold this year.

Well done to Stefan Tobin, Aaron O’Halloran and Emma O’Halloran who all qualified for their respective Munster Finals last week, while Darragh Dunne’s Tipperary Gold team qualified for the Celtic Challenge All-Ireland Semi-Final on Saturday with a victory over North Cork. Well done, all. Keep up the great work.
