Due to the recent government announcement on the extension of the Covid-19 restrictions the Swan club lotto and bingo remains suspended and we are bound by the guidelines laid down by the Government/H.S.E. and the G.A.A.

While this is a regrettable decision it is more important that we safeguard the health and wellbeing of our club members, lotto players and promoters.

Please be assured that as soon as it is safe to do so the Swan lotto and bingo will be back up and running. We are very grateful for all the support given to us in the past and we hope in the not too distant future that we can rely on that support again, for now stay safe and look after one another.

Carrick Swan would like to pass on their condolences to the Wells family, Carrick-Beg, and the O’Brien family, formerly of St. Johns, on their recent bereavement.

Dan O’Meara Remembered.

Pictured here in 1970 when Kilruane McDonagh’s won the North Tipperary U21 football final is the late Dan O’Meara of Clairin.
Better known to us as Danno he left one black and white jersey for another when he joined the Swan in 1972 after setting up home in Carrick having got married to Marie.

Danno would talk hurling day and night and as a hurler and selector he gave the Swan everything he had, he was called to his eternal rest way too soon in 2005 but in the time he was with us he cemented himself as one of our own and is still missed today.

Rest in peace Danno.
