Carrick Swan Notes Monday March 4th

Our Premier Intermediate hurlers will take on Silvermines and our Junior hurlers will take on Clonmel Og in Round 1 of the County Adult Hurling League on St. Patrick’s weekend with the days/times TBC.

This week, our Cygnets Nursery started back for 2024. Our Cygnets Nursery is for girls and boys aged 4, 5, 6, or 7.  It takes places between 6.30pm and 7-15pm in the Swan Hall every Wednesday night. We would like to invite parents and kids along as we are all looking forward to the year ahead. Reach out to Martina 087-9784249 or our Facebook page for more information on registering your child for the year ahead.

New members are always welcome where fun and activities are guaranteed for all the kids. Our Coaches are fully Garda vetted, have the GAA Child Safeguarding Certificate, and have Gaelic Games Coaching (ICGG) training, also.

Our u13 B Footballers first game of the year against Killenaule on Friday last was postponed due to an unplayable pitch. The game will be rescheduled later in the Championship. This coming Friday evening, March 8th we welcome St. Patrick’s of Drangan to Páirc na nEalaí. The game throws in at 7pm.

Our u15 B Footballer’s first game of the championship will be the following week when we welcome Ballingarry to Páirc na nEalaí.

Our Easter camp for kids aged 6 to 13 will take place April 2nd to 4th and will run from 10am to 1pm each day. It will take place at Páirc na nEalaí each day, weather permitting, and all kids will receive a free sliotar and Gaelic football. The cost is €40 per child and the link to register is https://tipperary.gaa.ie/tipperary-gaa-easter-camp/

Páirc na nEalaí hosted Tipperary vs Wexford minor hurling game on Sunday last. It was a good game and a good run out for both sides as they prepare for their respective Championships. Swan’s Stefan Tobin lined out for Tipperary.

Running repairs were completed on The Green last weekend. We’d ask teams to refrain from doing turning drills and sprints on the pitch. Please use the side of the clubhouse for all drills while the field is soft under foot.

This week’s Carrick Swan lotto jackpot is €8,000 as there was no winner of our €7,750 jackpot last week. The lotto numbers drawn were 01 – 04 – 05 -23. There were five match 3 winners with all of them winning €40 each. Well done all. The club would like to thank you for your continued support. Your support helps our young players and also helps with our Field Development Project.
