Our Senior hurlers begin their year next Saturday, when we take on Knockavilla Kickhams in Davin Park at 4pm. Best of luck lads.
Our Junior B camogie ladies began their year on Sunday last when we took on Ballingarry on The Green, in our first County League game of the year. We ran out winners after a tough battle. Well done, ladies.
Our u21 football game against Killenaule, due to take place last weekend, fell victim of the weather and was postponed due to no field being available.
Our u14 team will have to wait a little longer to find out who their Feile Semi-Final opponents are as both quarter finals were postponed due to the weather for the second week in a row last weekend.
Our u12 D football game against Newcastle, which was due to take place on Saturday last, also fell foul to the weather. Our u12 D’s take on Grangemockler, on The Green, next weekend.
Our u11 hurlers had their first outing of the year on Sunday last, also. We had a good runout against Dungarvan on The Green. We’d like to thank Dungarvan for the game, on their way to Thurles to see the Waterford vs Tipperary National Hurling League game.
The Green was one of very few club pitches in the country playable last weekend and great credit needs to go to William ‘Stretch’ Barrett, Jamie ‘Busker’ Sweetman, Michael ‘Weasel’ Waters, and Tom Torpey for all their hard work on Saturday to ensure The Green was in immaculate condition for the games that took place on it, on Sunday. Thanks lads.

Last week’s jackpot was €12,250 and there was no winner. Two people were just one number off winning or sharing the jackpot. Those four matched 3 and won €100 each. Well done Debbie O’ Halloran, Slatequarries and Michael Thompson, Rackhill. The numbers drawn were 14 – 15 – 16 – 23. This week’s jackpot is a whopping €12,500.
