Our Junior & Senior hurling teams had good workouts last week in challenge games, prior to the start of their respective championships.
The Seniors are in action this coming weekend, when we take on Ballingarry on Saturday evening in the opening round of the Seamus O’Riain Cup in Clonmel Sportsfield at 7pm. The game is an all ticket affair, with only 200 people allowed entry into the field, including players. Mentors, and officials. It’s expected that there will be approx. 50 tickets available to each club, with season pass holders getting first refusal which likely means that no tickets will go on general sale.
Our Junior hurler’s begin their championship vs Fethard on Sunday evening. The game takes place in Cloneen at 7pm. Entry is limited to 200 patrons in total and this consists of players, mentors, club passes, stewards, officials and 110 supporters between both clubs. Entry for supporters is on a first come basis but we would ask that you think of players families first.
Our Junior ladies beat Ballingarry last week in their camogie tournament, and take on Portlaw in Davin Park this coming Wednesday. The game throws in at 8pm.
On Monday night, both our u16 boys & ladies begin their championships. The boys take on St Mary’s in Clonmel Sportsfield at 6.30pm while the ladies take on Ballybacon/Grange in Goatenbridge at 8pm. Our u16 boys welcome Moyle Rovers to Páirc na nEalaí on Monday next, July 27th, also.
Our Minor hurlers lost out to St Mary’s in their championship opener on Sunday evening by 9 points. They take on Ballingarry on Wednesday evening, in Cloneen, with the game throwing in at 7pm. Entry is limited to 200 patrons in total and this consists of players, mentors, club passes, stewards, officials and 110 supporters between both clubs. Entry for supporters is on a first come basis but we would ask that you think of players families first.
On Thursday night, our u14’s travel to Ballingarry to take on the home side in their opening game of the u14 championship.
Our u12’s had a great win against St. Patricks at Páirc na nEalaí on Sunday morning in their opening game of the championship. They travel to Mullinahone this coming Sunday to take on the CJ Kickhams boys at 10am.
Our u10’s welcome the St Mary’s boys down to The Green on Saturday morning for some games.
Our Cúl Camps are taking place all week at Páirc na nEalaí. The Camp begins each morning at 10am and finishes each afternoon at 2pm. There will be a station in the car park to drop your child to and collect afterwards. Do not drop outside the gate. All children must be dropped off and collected regardless of age.
The Cúl Camp specific Covid health questionnaires will need to be completed online each day and checked by Siobhán before your child can be admitted to the camp. Please do not arrive before 9.45 and please collect promptly at 2pm each day.
Also, please stay in your car unless agreed with Siobhán. If your child is nervous and needs you to wait for a little while, that’s ok. The main gates will be closed outside of drop off and collection times for security purposes. Thanks for your co-operation.
The club would ask anybody that attends Páirc na nEalaí to please ensure that your litter is placed in the litter bin beside the clubhouse, it is not okay to drop litter either inside or outside the ground. We’d also ask that bicycles are not parked against the clubhouse or on the footpaths beside the field. Thank you.
