Our u21 footballers were due to play Killenaule last weekend but the game was cancelled. The game is provisionally re-fixed for Sunday March 1st at 12 noon in Fethard.

Our Junior B camogie ladies begin their year on Sunday next when we take on Ballingarry on The Green, in our first County League game of the year. Best of luck to the ladies, and their management team.

Our u14s had a good run out against Dungarvan, on The Green on Sunday morning in a competitive challenge game. Our u14s are down to play their South Feile Semi-Final next Sunday, on The Green at 11am, with the opposition currently unknown.

Our u12 D’s begin their year this coming weekend when we travel to Newcastle on Saturday morning for the first round of their football championship.

Our u11 hurlers are due to take on Dungarvan on Sunday next, also.

Extra hands are needed for a few hours next Saturday as we hope to do some repair work on The Green, weather permitting. The pitch needs to be rolled, some holes need to be filled in, the grass needs to be cut, and some holes for flags need to be found and cleaned out and the pitch also needs to be lined before the games on Sunday.  Check out our Facebook page closer to Saturday for more details. Lots of hands make light work.

Last week’s jackpot was €12,000 and there was no winner. Four people were just one number off winning or sharing the jackpot. Those four matched 3 and won €50 each. The numbers drawn were 03 – 16 – 26 – 27. This week’s jackpot is a whopping €12,250.

It costs just €2 to enter and you can play through any of our ticket sellers, or online, via our website. Your continued support is most welcome and greatly appreciated by all in the club.

Carrick Swan would like to pass on their condolences to the Fleming family, Carick-Beg and Faugheen, and the Fitzpatrick family Piltown on their recent bereavements.
