The weekend gone has been a good one for the club.

Our Senior hurlers backed up their impressive victory over Killenaule last week with an impressive and clinical display against Cashel King Cormacs on Saturday in Clonmel Sportsfield to book our place in the Seamus O’Riain Cup Quarter Final. The quarter final is due to take place in two weeks with our opponents yet to be confirmed.

We do however know that it’ll be one of one of four teams that we’ll play in the quarter final. Kilenaule, Lorrha, Mullinahone or Silvermines.

Our Junior hurlers drew with Skeheenarinky on Sunday evening in Clonmel Sportsfield. The result leaves us level on points with Skeheenarinky but as we have a slightly better score difference (+5 points), we go through to the knockout stages of the competition and Skeheen miss out. Commiserations to Skeheenarinky and well done to our Juniors.

Our Junior footballers take on Ardfinnan on Friday next in Ned Hall Park with the game throwing in at 7-30pm. Swan lost out to Newcastle by one point in their opening game while Ardfinnan beat Clerihan by 14 points.

All roads lead to Fethard this Wednesday night as our Minors play St. Mary’s in the Minor ‘A’ South Final. Best of luck, lads.

Our u16s have received their South Semi-Final fixture. We play St. Mary’s on Monday next (August 24th) in Fethard at 6.45pm.

Our u14s lost out to Fethard in a cracking game that served up 14 goals between the sides on Thursday last which means that we now sit 5th in the group. This coming Thursday we take on 4th place Moyle Rovers where a win will qualify us for the South Semi-Final. The games vs Moyle Rovers takes place at Páirc na nEalaí with the game throwing in at 7pm.

Our u12 D team drew with Ballylooby/Castlegrace on Saturday morning. Our u12 Ds take on St. Patricks on Wednesday evening at Páirc na nEalaí with the game throwing in at 6-45pm.

On the camogie front, our u14s beat Drom/Inch by 3 points last week. This coming Wednesday our u14s take on St Pat’s in our next championship game.
