Our Senior hurlers travelled to Holycross on Sunday last to take on North Tipperary’s Templederry Kenyons. We went in at half-time 1 point down but a slow start to the second half, and a Templederry goal on 44 minutes put them 6 points up, and gave them an uncatchable lead. A late Swan goal brought the deficit back down to 5 points but it wasn’t to be, on the day. Unlucky boys.

David at just 49 years old was a lovely gregarious lad who enjoyed life and people, he always had a smile for everyone. He particularly loved to come home to Carrick and meet up with his family and friends and spend time with them.

His loss will be felt most by his family, his heartbroken mother Bernie, brother’s Seamus, Joseph and his twin brother Raymond, sister’s Mary, Aileen and Bernadette. David was predeceased by his father Joe and brother Maurice.

David will also be missed by his many nephews and nieces, extended family members and his many friends.
