The Swan club would like to wish all our members and supporters a very happy Easter.
 
On Saturday, our Junior A hurlers got off to a winning start in their opening round of the South Junior A Championship with a late goal to defeat St Patricks by a single point. Well done lads.
 
Our Junior B camogie girls lost out to Fethard on Friday last in the County Camogie League. We now take on Gortnahoe at 7pm on The Green and a win will see us advance to the quarter finals of the County Camogie League. Best of luck girls.
 
Our Senior hurlers next competitive game takes place on Saturday next when we play Templederry Kenyons in Round 3 of the County Senior Hurling League. The games takes place in Cashel and will throw in at 7pm.
 
Our Minor footballers are also back in action this week. We take on Clonmel Commercials in Kilsheelan on Thursday at 6-30pm.
 
Our u16 and u14 football games were cancelled last week. These games will be rescheduled. Our u14s take on Cahir in Cahir this Thursday with the game throwing in at 6.30pm.
 
Our u12 C’s lost out to Grangemockler/Ballyneale last week in their football championship.
 
Our Easter Camps took place last week on The Green and in the Juvenile Hall. All the kids really enjoyed the fun, games and activities throughout the camp. The club would like to say a massive thank you to Siobhan for organising it once again this year, and to ‘Tasha, Leah, and Brian for helping out throughout the week.
 
Last week our u6’s & u7’s were a surprised at training with some easter eggs. The club would like to say a massive thank you to William ‘Stretch’ Barrett for sponsoring the eggs for the kids. Wm Barrett Building & Plastering ltd have been really generous to the club over the years, as has Stretch himself who has done everything from grass cutting to coaching boys, girls, men, & women, and from building to bulldozing for the club down the years. If you’re thinking about any building or plastering work in the coming weeks or months, keep Stretch in mind. As always, your help, generosity, and time are appreciated by all in the club.
 
Last week’s Swan Lotto numbers were 02 – 03 – 15 – 17. The jackpot was €3,000 and there was no winner. 9 match 3’s win €30. Next Week’s Jackpot is €3,500.
