Carrick Swan Notes Monday May 6th
Club Lotto
Fourteen people were just one number off winning our €10,000 Lotto Jackpot last week. They won €20 each. This week’s lotto jackpot is a whopping €10,250. Entry is just €2, and you can play online or through any of our normal ticket sellers. Best of luck this week.
Adult Hurling & Camogie
On Sunday last, Carrick Swan Premier Intermediates lost out to Burgess in a tightly fought encounter in North Tipperary, in the County Hurling league. We’re out again next Sunday when we welcome West Tipperary’s Éire Óg Annacarty to Páirc na nEalaí. Throw in is 12pm.
Later on Sunday next, at 3pm, our Junior ‘A’ hurlers take on Rockwell Rovers in the County Hurling League in Páirc na nEalaí also.
Best of luck to both teams.
Our 2023 Junior B South League & Championship winning team along with our 2023 u21 ‘A’ South Championship winning team will receive their medals on Saturday May 18th at 9pm in The Auld Rogue and all are welcome to attend. There will be music on the night so come on down and show your appreciation for our victorious adult teams from 2023.
Juvenile Scene
Our u15’s travelled to Nenagh on Sunday morning to take part in the Tipperary Feile Na nGael Championship. We beat Moycarkey and Boherlahan while lost to Nenagh in our group games. Two wins qualified us for the County Semi-Finals where we were unlucky to lose out to a strong Gortnahoe Glengoole team. Well done on a great day, lads.
Our u15’s dust themselves down and swap the small ball for the big ball this week. We welcome The Robins, Killenaule to Páirc na nEalaí on Thursday evening for the South Quarter Final. Best of luck, lads.
The club would like to thank JSF Construction for their generous sponsorship of squad tops for our u15’s, this year. We’ve some photos of the boys showcasing the tops on our Facebook page. Check them out.
Our u8 Camogie girls attended their first blitz of the year on Saturday last. We had a super morning in Ballingarry where our girls played brilliantly and had a great day out. Well done ladies.
If you’ve a child who’d like to join our u8 Camogie girls, please reach out to us on Facebook, and we’ll put you in contact with the team coaches.
Our u10 camogie team attended the same blitz up in Ballingarry last Saturday morning where we played 3 very good games in tough conditions against Ballingarry, Mullinahone & St.Pat’s.
Our little ladies showed some great skills & had a very enjoyable morning of camogie. Well done girls.
Well done to Alex O’Dwyer who has been selected for the Tipperary u14 hurling & also the Tipperary u14 football panel for 2024. Well done, Alex. A superb achievement.
