Our Intermediate footballers were knocked out of the South Championship by Grangemopckler/Ballyneale at quarter final stage on Friday last. We play Fethard in Clonmel Sportsfield on Sunday next at 6-30pm in Round 2 of the County Intermediate Football Championship. This is a must-win game for our lads after losing Round 1 to Drom/Inch back in April.
Our Junior hurlers take on Killenaule on Wednesday night at 6-45pm in Cloneen in the South Quarter Final. Best of luck lads.
Our Minor A hurlers qualified for the South Final on Wednesday last when we beat St Marys by 9 points in Monroe. Goals win games, and that was certainly the case here with Swan getting goals at crucial times during the game and finishing strongly to set up a South Final with Mullinahone. Fixture to be confirmed.
Our u16s South Semi-Final has been fixed for September 5th. The opposition will be confirmed this week.
Our u14 A hurlers take on Moyle Rovers this coming Thursday in the South Semi-Final. We’re still awaiting a venue for the game and the time of throw-in. We’d like to wish this team and their mentors all the best for Thursday.
The Camogie side of the club is all-go this week, also. On Wednesday night, our Junior B Camogie girls take on Moyle Rovers in their first Championship game of the year. This game throws in at 6-30. On Friday our Minor girls take on Ballybacon on The Green at 6-45pm in the first round of their Championship. Best of luck to both teams who are looking to get their Championships off to winning starts. All support welcome.
Auf Wiedersehen and best wishes to Senior hurler Dean Kiely who headed over to Germany on work placement last weekend. Best of luck, Dean.
