Congratulations to our senior hurlers on winning the James Holohan Cup Final (County League) by beating Ballingarry on a scoreline of Swan 2-27 Ballingarry 1-28, on Sunday. It was a great game of hurling, enjoyed by a fine attendance present in the Davin ‘Memorial’ Park, the cup in question was in honour of the late James Holohan who gave sterling service to Kilsheelan/Kilcash Gaa Club and it was nice to see Jim’s wife Bridget present the cup to Swan Captain Stephen Hahessy after the game along with South Board Chairman Michael Cooney. A County Title of any description is worth having and winning becomes a habit so all the focus now turns to the county championship proper and with the right attitude in training we can look forward with some optimism to having a real go.
