Group 1 of Seamus O’ Riain County Senior Hurling Championship is wide open after Swan beat Killenaule earlier today on a scoreline of 0-23 to 0-13 in a blistering hot Clonmel Sportsfield.

In the other game this weekend, Cashel King Cormacs defeated Ballingarry by 4 points which put all 4 teams on 2 points a-piece.

This weekend’s results sets up some mouth watering fixtures next weekend.

Permutations

  1. If Swan win, and Killenaule win. We go through to the Seamus O’ Riain Cup Co Quarter Final, topping the group on our head-to-head result vs Killenaule.
  2. If Swan win, and Ballingarry win. We go through to the Co Quarter Final, 2nd in the group due to our head-to-head result vs Ballingarry.
  3. If Swan lose and Killenaule win. We finish bottom and go into the relegation play-offs.
  4. If Swan lose and Ballingarry win. We finish 3rd in the group are knocked out of the Seamus O Riain Cup.
  5. If we draw next week, we go through in 2nd place in the group if there is a winner in the other game.
  6. If we draw and the other game is a draw, we go through top of the group on score difference.
