Group 1 of Seamus O’ Riain County Senior Hurling Championship is wide open after Swan beat Killenaule earlier today on a scoreline of 0-23 to 0-13 in a blistering hot Clonmel Sportsfield.
In the other game this weekend, Cashel King Cormacs defeated Ballingarry by 4 points which put all 4 teams on 2 points a-piece.
This weekend’s results sets up some mouth watering fixtures next weekend.
Permutations
- If Swan win, and Killenaule win. We go through to the Seamus O’ Riain Cup Co Quarter Final, topping the group on our head-to-head result vs Killenaule.
- If Swan win, and Ballingarry win. We go through to the Co Quarter Final, 2nd in the group due to our head-to-head result vs Ballingarry.
- If Swan lose and Killenaule win. We finish bottom and go into the relegation play-offs.
- If Swan lose and Ballingarry win. We finish 3rd in the group are knocked out of the Seamus O Riain Cup.
- If we draw next week, we go through in 2nd place in the group if there is a winner in the other game.
- If we draw and the other game is a draw, we go through top of the group on score difference.
