The club wish to announce that as we have now secured full planning permission we will shortly begin the construction and installation of our 1,750m2 synthetic grass training area complete with a 35m ball wall, the development will utilise part of the existing grass training area, we expect the development to be completed by the end of November.

We are very pleased that Premier Pitches from Cashel is the appointed contractor; all through the development of Páirc na nEalaí we have employed local contractors when possible.
The synthetic grass area will be 50m x 35m and will comprise of 3G FIFA certified synthetic grass with 60mm monofilament grass sand/rubber infill laid on a shock pad system.

The area will be fully drained and surrounded with a 2.4m high mesh fence on top of which will be ball stop netting 2.6m high giving a total height of 5m. There will also be two entrance gates, one double and one single with a roadway from the existing car park.

The concrete precast ball wall will be 35 meters in length and 5 meters in height. The area will be fully floodlit with a 4 column 12 meter high LED floodlighting system.

To complete this next phase of the Pairc na nEalaí project will cost in the region of €250K and so again we appeal to all to continue to support our fundraising through our weekly lotto and of course our ever popular 12 Days of Christmas Draw which was launched recently.
