CHILD SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT️

As you know, at Carrick Swan Hurling, Football, and Camogie Club, we are fully committed to ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all children involved in our games and activities.

In line with our Child Safeguarding Policy, our procedures, and legislative requirements, we have agreed and adopted the Carrick Swan Child Safeguarding Statement, which is binding on all members.

We wish to remind all members that safeguarding concerns should be raised if you:

Witness or are informed of behaviour that puts a child’s safety or well-being at risk.

Have concerns about how a child is being treated by another child, coach, volunteer, or adult.

Notice signs of distress, neglect, bullying, or abuse.

This statement reflects the GAA’s core aim: to foster and develop Gaelic Games and Irish cultural activities among young people in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our current Child Safeguarding Statement was agreed by the Carrick Swan Club Executive Committee on May 8, 2025.

Please take time to review the full statement or speak to one of our Designated Liaison Persons listed on the poster.

Together, let’s continue to put the well-being of our children first.
