Our Junior Camogie girls had another super win last weekend. We beat Fethard on Saturday last on The Green. Well done to all involved. We play Moyle Rovers in our next game.
Our Intermediate footballers game against Clonmel Og due to take place on Saturday last didn’t go ahead. We received the points meaning we finish 3rd in our Co Championship group ahead of Clonmel Og. Our footballing year is now over. Golden & Rockwell go through as winners and runners up, respectively while Clonmel Og go into a relegation playoff.
Our Minors spent last weekend refreshing Twitter match trackers, and constantly checking the Tipperary GAA results website. To qualify for the Semi Finals, we needed to win our game, which we did via a walkover from Grangemockler/Ballyneale, we needed Moyle Rovers to beat Ballingarry, which they did on Saturday evening, and we also needed Skeheenarinky/Clonmel Og to beat Cahir, which they did, by a single point on Sunday morning. A draw for Cahir in that game would have forced a 3-way playoff. A win for Cahir would have eliminated us. These results meant we qualified for the South A Semi Final where we’ll play Moyle Rovers. Date to be confirmed. Our Minors started their campaign slowly, losing their opening 3 games but they’ve been outstanding over the past few weeks, picking up 6 points from the final 3 fixtures. Best of luck to the team and management in the knockout phase.
Our u16s beat Moyle Rovers last week to qualify for the South u16 A Final where we’ll take on St Mary’s this coming Sunday in what is sure to be a cracker. Venue and throw in time to be confirmed. Keep an eye on Facebook for the details and get along to the game and cheer our boys on.
Our u13 hurlers lost to Moyle Rovers in the South Tipp Winter League on Friday last while our u11s beat Moyle Rovers in the u11 Winter Hurling League on the same night.
Our u12 D’s lost out in their Shield Semi Final to Kilsheelan last week.
Well done to our U8s who took part in the David Boland blitz in Monroe last weekend and managed to win the competition. The lads played very well throughout the competition in some tough conditions and against very good opposition. A big thank you to Moyle Rovers for inviting us and organising another great event.
Our u6s played St Marys on The Green, on Saturday. These were great matches and all the kids had great fun. Well done all. We’d like to thank St Marys for travelling down to us also.
