Last week was a quiet one on the playing front with no games taking place.
Two games are confirmed for this week, so far. Our u11s & u13s take on St Mary’s this coming weekend in the Winter Hurling League. Both games take place in Clonmel with our u13s playing Saturday at 11am while our u11s play Sunday at 11am.
We’re still awaiting our next u21 hurling fixture. Moyle Rovers take on Kilsheelan on Monday (October 29th) night. We’re due to play the winner of this game.
Our Camogie girls had a night out on Saturday last. They began with a lovely meal O’ Cealachains where the Camogie Player Of The Year, Sarah Waters, and Young Player Of The Year, Katie Power Murphy were presented with lovely pieces of crystal. The awards were sponsored by William Barrett Plastering and Building Contractors.
The girls then headed to The Auld Rogue where they were officially presented with their new jerseys. The club would once again like to thank William and The Auld Rogue for their kindness.
Well done to Kieran O’ Donnell who has been chosen to represent South Tipp at u14 level after attending trials in recent week.
Just 5 weeks remain to get your ticket for the upcoming 12 Days of Christmas draw. You can buy online or through any ticket seller. We’re giving out €18,000 in prizes with the top prize being €10,000. This draw helps fund our new field development on Ballyrichard Road. A development that will provide superb facilities for the people of Carrick for generations to come. Please support.
We were informed last Friday that somebody has been going around south Kilkenny, in particular the Windgap area, saying that they are collecting scrap metal on behalf of our club development. We’d like to stress that this has absolutely nothing to do with Carrick Swan. Please be aware and if anyone is approached by these people inform the Gardai immediately.
Our Juvenile lotto jackpot last week was €3,250. The numbers drawn were 15 – 20 – 21 – 28. There was no winner. Two Match 3 win €100 each. Next Week’s Jackpot is €3,500. It costs just €2 to enter and you can play through any of our ticket sellers, or online, via our website. Thank you for your continued & appreciated support.
Carrick Swan would like to pass on their condolences to the Cooney family Figlash on their recent bereavement. We’d also like to pass on our condolences to the Murphy family Limerick on the passing of Paul’s brother Joseph recently.
