Carrick Swan Notes – Monday, June 15th
Congratulations to Eoin Connolly, who lined out in goal for the Tipperary minor team as they secured their place in this year’s All-Ireland Final. As a club, we are extremely proud. This marks five years in a row that Carrick Swan will have a player representing Tipperary in an All-Ireland final. Well done, Eoin!
Our Premier Junior footballers booked their place in the South Final following a victory over Moyle Rovers. They will now face Fr Sheehy’s, with the fixture details to be confirmed.
Our Under-12 footballers recorded another impressive championship win against Commercials. They now switch their focus to hurling, with a game against Mullinahone on Monday on the Green.
The Under-14 hurlers took part in a Super 10s competition on Sunday morning in Killenaule. They begin their hurling championship campaign on Thursday against Ballingarry in Páirc na nEalaí, before taking on Cahir on Sunday morning in Duneske.
Our Under-16 hurlers start their championship on Monday, June 22nd, with a game against Ballybacon-Grange in Goatenbridge.
Our Cygnets hosted a blitz in Páirc na nEalaí, with 45 of our own children taking part alongside 120 children overall. It was a fantastic evening and a great success.
Our Under-12 camogie girls were also in action on the Green against St Rita’s Fethard.
