Carrick Swan Notes – Monday, July 6th
Our Senior hurlers played their South Championship semi-final on Saturday last but were unfortunately defeated by Mullinahone. Hard luck to the players and management on their efforts. Attention now turns to the County Championship, and we wish them the very best.
Our Junior A hurlers were in action against Killenaule, coming out on top.
Carrick Swan 2-17
Killenaule 2-14
Our Junior B hurlers got their South Championship campaign off to a winning start with an impressive victory over Newcastle:
Carrick Swan 3-13
Newcastle 0-12

Congratulations to our players who represented Tipperary and South Tipperary last weekend. Alex O’Dwyer and Jack Kiely lined out with the Tipperary Under 16 team, Charlie Walsh represented the Tipperary Under 15s, while Ryan Walsh and Alfie Waters were part of the South Tipperary Under 14 panel. A fantastic achievement by all involved and a proud weekend for the club.
We had a fantastic weekend of camogie in Páirc na nEalaí as we welcomed Na Magha from Derry and Ballingarry. It was a hugely successful few days, and we thank everyone who helped organise and support the event. Your efforts ensured it was a great success.
This week’s jackpot stands at €2,000. You can play online or through any of our club ticket promoters.
Carrick Swan GAA Club extends its deepest sympathies to the Barry family, Main Street, the O’Shea family, South Lodge, and the Foy family, Oaklands, on their recent bereavements.
