Carrick Swan Notes – Monday, July 27th
We had four adult hurling teams in action over the past week. Unfortunately, all came up short despite some determined performances. We now look ahead to the next round of fixtures.
This Week’s Adult Fixtures
Wednesday, July 29th: South Minor Hurling Championship – Carrick Swan v Clonmel Óg, 7.30pm in Fethard GAA Field.
Thursday, July 30th: Premier Junior Football Championship – Carrick Swan v JK Brackens, 7.30pm in Ballingarry.
Our U12 footballers recorded another excellent win over Kilsheelan. They now switch their attention to the hurling championship and face St. Mary’s on the Green this Tuesday.
Our U14 hurlers continued their impressive championship campaign with a victory over Fr. Sheehys. Their next outing is against Moyle Rovers on Saturday, August 8th.
Congratulations to our players representing their county and division. Alex O’Dwyer and Jack Kiely lined out for the Tipperary U16s as they drew with Cork in the third round of the championship. Charlie Walsh was part of the victorious Tipperary U15 side against Dublin. Ryan Walsh and Alfie Waters represented South Tipperary U14s, recording impressive wins over both Clare and Cork.
Our U8 and U10 camogie girls enjoyed a fantastic day at the Camogie Festival in Dr. Morris Park. Well done to all the players, coaches and parents who travelled.
