Our Annual General Meeting took place on Sunday last. The club would like to congratulate incoming Chairman for 2019, James ‘Jim’ Bourke. We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing chairman, Tony Hogan, for all his hard work over the past 3 years.

Both Sean O’ Shea, Field Development Officer, and acting Secretary for the 2018 season, and Sean McDonnell, Treasurer, and acting Juvenile Secretary for 2018 deserve a special mention for the extremely detailed reports they prepared and presented to the AGM.

The club would like to sincerely thank the outgoing committee for their time, dedication, and hard work throughout 2018. We’d also like to welcome in the new committee for 2019. The new committee will be published on our website and Facebook later this week. Keep an eye out.

Again, we’d ask anybody who would like to help out on the admin or coaching side of our club to come forward. Please contact any committee member. Many hands lighten the load.

All our adult hurling teams (Minor, u21, Junior, and Senior) are back training now. Collectively, we train one night in the gym, each Wednesday, with Lee Lanigan, and one session on the field with Lee and Kevin O’ Sullivan, who is our coach for 2019. All adult players are welcome and expected to attend.

Our Juvenile Lotto is a whopping €6,250 this week. The only way to win it is to make sure you’re in it. It costs just €2 to enter and you can play through any of our ticket sellers, or online, via our website. Last week’s jackpot was €6,000 and there was no winner. Six people were just one number off the winning or sharing the jackpot. Those six matched 3 and won €40 each. The numbers drawn were 05 – 06 – 16 – 21.

The Juvenile Lotto draw helps us fund and cater for in excess of 200 Juveniles, and one of the channels that helps us develop facilities such as those currently being developed on Ballyrichard Road. Your continued support is most welcome and greatly appreciated by all in the club.
