2023 Carrick Swan u13 A Hurlers
Our u13 A hurlers began their Championship on June 13th last year when we beat St. Mary’s on The Green by a point. Carrick Swan 4-08 St. Mary’s 2-13.
The following week, we travelled to Mullinahone and after another great battle we came out on the right side of a 1-point game again. Carrick Swan 1-05 Mullinahone 0-07.
Round 3 took place a few weeks later, when we travelled to Ned Hall Park to play Clonmel Og. We were victorious on the night on a scoreline of Swan 3-10, Clonmel Og 1-11.
This victory qualified us for the South Semi Final, which took place on Monday August 21st. In the Semi-Final, we would play Clonmel Og again, and it was another great battle where both teams served up an excellent hard-fought encounter. In the end, we won on a scoreline of Carrick Swan 4-06 Clonmel Og 1-07.
That qualified us for the 2023 South u13 A Hurling Final. The was played in front of a big crowd in Cahir on Saturday September 2nd where Mullinahone were the opposition. What a game, and what an ending.
The final 5 minutes were frantic and full of excitment with both teams going at it hammer and tongs. Mullinahone scored a goal late on that looked like it might have sent the cup to CJ Kickhams country but our lads dug deep, rallied, and struck a green flag of our own, right at the end to win the Cup. A super finish to a superb game.

South Champions!
The County Semi Final took place the following Saturday in Grangemockler where Cashel King Cormacs proved too strong for us on the day. Cashel King Cormacs 3-13 Carrick Swan 1-06.
The disappointing County Semi-Final loss was avenged somewhat in the South/West Hurling League Final, which took place in Fethard Town Park on November 12th when we defeated Cashel King Cormacs on a scoreline of Swan 2-06 Cashel King Cormacs 0-07.

Round 1: June 26th Lost heavily to Cashel
Round 2: July 3rd Walkover vs Rockwell Rovers
Round 3: July 19th Comfortably beat Arravale Rovers 0-09
Round 4: July 24th Cappawhite 1-14 Swan 3-11
Final: November 12th Swan 2-06 Cashel King Cormacs 0-07
Our u13’s will receive their South Championship medals and South/West League medals this Saturday at 5pm alongside our u14 Super 10s and our u17s in the Swan Juvenile Hall. All are welcome to attend and show appreciation to these victorious teams.
