New Field Project Update

Just a brief update on where we are at now in the development. We have now begun the process of seeking tenders for the construction of a full size playing pitch and a training pitch at Ballyrichard Road.

Contractors with the required expertise and who have completed pitch installations in the past will be contacted formally by letter inviting them to submit their tender application based on the bills of quantities and specification, health & safety plan and terms of contract as drawn up by our Agronomist James Healy.

The completed tenders will be returned in sealed envelopes to the club by the deadline which is set at 17.00 hrs on Friday the 26th of January. After this date a meeting of club officers and the field committee will be convened to go through the completed written tenders.

All returned tenders will be in sealed envelopes and each of the committee present will sign the envelopes before they are opened to ensure transparency. Once opened and verified we will then meet with our Agronomist and agree on a recommendation based on both his experience and what best suits our needs.

The Contractor whose tender is accepted will be required to enter into a formal contract with Carrick Swan Hurling/Football & Camogie Club.

The Conditions & Forms of Tender Agreement shall be those for use in connection with Works of Civil Engineering Contractor – Third Edition 1990 (revised and reprinted 2002).
