The mass for deceased members and friends of Carrick Swan Club was held in the club hall on Friday May 5th. A large crowd turned out to remember and pray for all those who gave so much to the club and to their community and now are sadly no longer with us.
Fr. Jimmy Browne regaled the congregation with GAA related stories, he celebrated a beautiful mass and we thank him most sincerely.
How lucky we are to have a choir in our community like the wonderful Suir Valley Choir, their music, singing and harmonies were of the highest quality and we thank them also, they were uplifting and will be seen soon on the televised Sunday morning mass on R.T.E.
A general thanks to all who helped in any way , the ladies committee who as always offered refreshments especially Mary, Yvonne, Tasha , Martina and Sarah , Terry who did the altar arrangements, our participants in the mass, Seamus, Johnny, Tony and James and especially the congregation who attended the mass, you all helped to make it a wonderful occasion.
On the weekend of Lá na gClubanna which strives to celebrate the importance of clubs in the community what better way to celebrate than to simply remember.
