’12 Days of Christmas Draw 2017′

Carrick Swan Hurling Football & Camogie Club is about to launch our new and improved    ’12 Days of Christmas Draw’ to help raise much needed funds for our Field Development situated at Ballyrichard Road in Carrick-on-Suir.

The draw this year will have extra prizes bringing the total prize money to over €18,000 and with tickets costing just €50 this represents tremendous value to be in with a chance of winning much needed spending money for Christmas.

While it may seem premature to be talking of Christmas the idea of launching the draw in August is to give people the chance of paying for their ticket over 5 months, if they wish, at just €10 per month.  The ticket can also be purchased in full for €50 or in two instalments of €25 each.

The reality is that before we commence phase two of the development which involves installing two playing pitches, fencing the site and all associated ground works, we must have the funds to complete it.

We are currently awaiting a decision on a Sports Capital Funding Application which we hope to have in the later part of this year. We are prevented from commencing phase two until such time as we know whether we have been successful or not with our application.

To date the club has had two major fundraisers bringing in over €80,000 in total, but the offset of that is the club has spent over €230,000 on the project to complete phase one, this includes a loan from the G.A.A. Central Council which we are currently paying back.

Before the excavation works can begin we need funds and are very hopeful that following on from the great support we got last year from the public that we can once again call on your generosity this year.

We will shortly begin distributing flyers and posters outlining all the information regarding the draw as well as advertising on social media. Tickets will be available from early August from the club promoters.

If you are not in you can’t win.
